Uranus is the 7th planet in our Solar System. Named after the Greek God of the Sky. It is a gas giant and the coldest planet in the Solar System.

Diameter: 51118 Kilometers
Mass: 14.54 of Earths
Surface temperature: -197.15 degrees Celcius
Orbit around sun: 30799 days
Moons: 27

Although Uranus is a gas giant like Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune which each have excessive weather patterns, Uranus is in comparison quite bland. It is believed because the core is colder than the other gas giants that there isn`t enough energy to push the winds on Uranus to the very high speeds seen on the other gas giants. The surface colours are quite uniform in colour and only rarely are there turbulations visible on the surface to ground based telescopes.
