Ford

Henry Ford founded the Ford company back in 1903 with investment from 12 people. Initially he had $28000 to work with and within the first year had already made a substantial profit.

Fords first vehicle produced was the Ford Model A. It sold for $750 with several upgrades available such as leather roof.

The most successful car that ford produced before 1927 was the Ford Model T. By this stage manufacturing was becoming extremely stream lined and Henry Fords manufacturing techniques with large scale productions started to filter through to other companies of the time and helped to change the modern world. By the time the Model T had ceased production more than 15 million had been produced.

Since those days Ford has always been one of the worlds leading car manufacturers. Depending on where you live in the world you might know different models such as the popular, fiesta, cougar, escort, mustang, taurus and thunderbird. Don`t forget that Ford have also produced buses, trucks and vans for almost as long as they have produced cars.

Ford is currently the worlds 5th largest car manufacturer and is ranked 10th largest company in America with revenues in excess of $128 billion.
